When it comes to being natural, one of my biggest problems is finding a routine that ensures my curls stay moisturized past the first day. The back of my hair will knot and matte up most easily, so I spend copious amounts of time attempting to saturate those sections with any kinds of deep conditioner that I can get my hands on.

One of those deep conditioners is the all-natural, avocado-based hair solution from Naturall Club. I have been dead-set on making 2018 one of my most natural years yet, from prepping DIY face masks (lemon + raw Ethiopian honey) to implementing 100% pure argan, jojoba, and tea tree oils into my skin routine. I’ve been searching for the all-natural deep conditioner of my dreams and after finding Naturall Club, I don’t need to look any further.

When Naturall Club sent me a box of their 100% natural, avocado-based deep conditioners, I couldn’t wait to try them. Their deep conditioners are made of ingredients you can actually recognize and pronounce — avocados, water, shea butter, coconut oil, honey, tea tree oil, lavender essential oil, vitamin E, citric acid, and guar gum.

Founded by a black woman by the name of Muhga Eltigani (who started making hair products in her college dorm room), Naturall Club’s mission is to create products with integrity.

The box included two (2) packets of the dull hair solution (they have three: dull, dry, damaged), a leave-in serum, a hair tie, a hair cap, and an educational insert on how to use their products. Their deep conditioning technique, just like their list of ingredients, is super simple as well. I dampened my hair with a spray bottle filled with warm water, applied the product, and let it sit under a shower cap for 30 minutes. After rinsing it out in the shower, I followed up with my usual shampoo (from the SheaMoisture JBCO line) and conditioner (from Tresemme’s curl hydration line) and the rest of my hair routine.

I first tried this deep conditioner towards the end of my spring semester, in the midst of finals week. With no time to spend 2-3 hours on a hair routine, I was carelessly tying my hair back for days..and days…and days on end… without washing it. Seemingly permanently dented from where my hair tie pulled back my curls, my hair was in desperate need of moisture.

From the first coat, my hair felt like butter — and the dent was dissolved. My natural curl pattern began to show, even without going through the entire, dreadful process of detangling. After 30+ minutes of deep conditioning, detangling was an absolute breeze and my curls felt more defined (& moisturized!) than ever. After using Naturall Club’s hair solution, I was in and out of the shower in 30 minutes! Even better — the consistent use of their deep conditioner leads to longer hair! On average, hair grows about 6 inches per year, but with the consistent use of her homemade, avocado-based deep conditioners, Elltigani’s hair grew 32 inches. The benefits of this deep conditioner last long after wash day, as well. For days on end after using this solution, my curls held the bounce they usually have on day one. A product that softens and defines my hair, saves me time, cultivates insane hair growth, and gives me bouncy curls? Usually unheard of, but Naturall Club effortlessly combines all of the things I desperately need in a deep conditioner. I am amazed, and I can’t wait to keep using their products!
